While I was at this shelter picking up an Old English Sheepdog for rescue I saw this husky. She is absolutely beautiful and it broke my heart to walk out without her. Her eyes just looked at me so longingly and sad.

I'm posting this here as I am a memeber of an Old English Sheepdog forum and know how these communities work together for a greater good. Just hoping someone knows someone who can help this poor girl out!

These cuties came into the rescue today. I'm going to be taking in two of the ten when they are old enough to leave mom, and they will be here until they are spayed/neutered and they find a home. This is the second litter in 2 months. The last litter (believed to be pure mal) had 5 and only one of them is in a home (as of today). This makes 14 pups in the rescue, not to mention the other 14 adults (or at least older pups). We are filled to the brim with dogs. So I have a feeling they will be ...

As you all know I work at a vet clinic, so I see a lot of animals and these two particular huskies I have not had the pleasure to meet but a coworker has assured me they are both very sweet. Their current owner has given them plenty of love over their 4 years of life but she, unfortunately has quite a few animals. So she came to me bc I have a reputation for taking in stray huskies and it spreads a few counties:) but since I am in the transition of moving into my first home and my husband is ...

So seeing everyone talk about adopting I would so love to add more to our family but we just can't right now. but I have been toying with the idea of becoming a foster home for Huskies and not sure if I could let the pup go when it finds a new home. wondering if any one has any experience being foster parents to any dogs. we would not be able to take on more than one dog at a time and not for an extended amout of time. I know most of my questions would be answered by the rescue looking for people ...

Hi all,

I was pointed to this group from a friend of mine that is a proud companion of a husky! I sure hope someone can help.

I came home this evening to a poor husky that had set up shop in my carport. It appears to be a girl and she's in bad shape. She's emaciated, has a slight limp, and has virtually no startle reflex - she was shivering in the middle of our carport and wouldn't even move when we approached her. My husband and I have fed and watered her and given her a warm place to sleep ...

So I have begun volunteering at a shelter out in Logsanville, Ga. We particpated at a 5k run/walk this last weekend. We brought the adobtable dogs out for people to take with him. Some of the dogs even found homes! It was a great time by all.

I even meet some Husky owners and passed on the site here to them! So hopefully we will be meeting some new people from my neck of the woods soon. Here are a few pictures of some of the dogs I saw this weekend.

This beautiful, friendly dog showed up at our doorstep last week and adopted us, but the problem is - we can't keep her. I know that she is someone's dog, she smells freshly groomed, she wants to come inside, and she looks to be purebred. I have taken her to be scanned - no chip, no collar and tags, I can't get close enough to her ear to check for a tattoo. We live in Southeast Missouri. I'd love to be able to find her home. Can someone also let me know how to get in touch with a rescue ...
