Heh, there's not much to speak of on this outing. We camped at Ute Pass and tried hiking Ute Peak to no avail. There was a sign at the trailhead that stated a mere 5.5 miles to the Ute Peak Summit. Pfft. There's not much to say about this trip. We circled the sub-treeline mound trying to find any hint of a trail. We never found one. It was just trees followed by more fallen trees. We hiked, then turned around for camp and ate once we all gathered again. Mmmmm, fajitas were good. Stupid trail never revealed itself...

Our attempt at a route...

The wreck that backed up I-70 for miles...

The end.

Just as Eddy stated we just walked around and over fallen trees hunting for a trail, we did that for about 5hrs and 7.5miles i think, we were running out of food and it was hot so we went back to camp and waited for everyone else to show up.

come on guys im ready to go!

what do we have in here?

still full of high summits/hopes at the start of the trail.

who's a happy girl?

i never see Sierra smile as much as she does except when we are hiking, or when i walk in the door at the house.

this is where we stopped to eat and made the decision to turn around.

Eddy with his "summit" wine

lindsay chilling on a log

we are tired!

my aunt tagged along camping, (she found the trail)

husky curl!

yummy peppers on the fire! (eddys mom cooking)

time for bed.
