Puppy food advice? Empty
PostSubject: Puppy food advice?   Puppy food advice? EmptyWed Jul 17, 2013 7:18 pm

I have been feeding our 4 month old puppy Fromm large breed puppy food for 8 weeks. She absolutely loves it and it makes her skin and coat look and feel amazing. Unfortunately I think it gives her diarrhea. I started giving her 2t of pumpkin each day which helped for about a week but now she's back to diarrhea. She has had all her regular dewormings and had a fecal test 1 1/2 weeks ago which came back normal. This leads me to believe it is the food. I was thinking of switching her to Wellness or Blue Buffalo. Any suggestions???

It'll all depend on what works for her. If you are going to switch foods, you may want to try a grain free food, and make the transition slow. Take about 2 to 3 weeks especially if she does have a sensitive tummy. I'm not sure if what you're currently feeding her does have grain, but look at some grain free foods to try. There are a few out there that are affordable. You'll have to see what's available to you.

If you really like the Fromm line, check out Fromm 4 Star. It's their grain free line... But I'm not positive they have a puppy formula. Just an option Smile

We recently switched her to a grain free formula from Blackwood. She seems to be doing great on it.

my pup has a pretty sensitive stomach, and i use fromm gold puppy formula. she loves it, coat looks and feels great. i actually switched to this because a lot of the other good foods for her had more protein then she could handle with out upsetting her stomach.
