Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

HI EVERYONE! Phoenix is the name and I'm owned by a beautiful alaskan husky (wolf hybrid?) named Chess. He's named for the Cheshire Cat due to his curious, mischievious behavior and his smirk when he's proud of something he's done (generally taunting). We belong to the Texas H2M2 group (though we haven't gone to a huddle yet due to the distance Crying or Very sad ). Chess loves play dates, running with the neighbor, playing with his squeaky ball, stealing my spot on the bed when I'm not looking, visiting my mom (his grandma), and driving me crazy by throwing typical husky tantrums. Chess is a rescue from the local shelter and has had numerous owners prior to me (and he's only a year old). Thankfully, he has a furever home with me and my group of friends. Everyone who meets him loves him (except one person who tried to say he was vicious without Chess doing anything to him) and he loves just about everyone he meets.

Welcome. I love people with outlooks and good attitudes like yours. Glad you are enjoying your rescue!

If Chess is part wolf though, just make sure you know everything you need to know. They have way different needs then dogs.

I tried to put a picture in my signature but its not showing up Sad Missmila, are you on the fb page for H2M2 Texas? If so, there are quite a few pics of Chess on the page that I've posted

And I've been doing my research on wolf hybrids just in case. Thankfully one of the H2M2 members has a wolf hybrid and helps me with tips and tricks when problems arise.

Finally found a good picture to use as my avatar. He's a little camera shy so getting pics can be a challenge lol. In the avatar pic, we were on our way to pick up a friend to go for our walks that we used to take all the time. Now my neighbor takes him on a run and he seems to enjoy that a bit more lol.
