2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Nanook is 10 months now and about 51 lbs. Amy and I are looking into different activities for him to do and are thinking of getting an xback harness for him. should we wait to do this until he's older or would we be ok getting one now?

I've been told to wait until 18 months for pulling activities, plus you want their growth plates to form and huskies can grow up until 2 years old. I just bought Link's x-back harness and he's 19 months.

I also didn't order mine from alpine though and it only took the lady a week to make and shipping shouldn't take more than 2 weeks, so I'm getting it fairly quickly.

Juneau is 16 months and I ordered her harness a few months ago. She doesn't pull yet, but I wanted to get it before the winter rush (where it can take up to 2-3 months). You're in a tough spot... She stopped getting taller about a few months ago, she's around 22-23 inches tall now. Weighs 52 lbs!

It really depends on the dog if they've stopped growing or not. If I were you, I'd probably wait at least one more month before ordering one.

Yeah, your pup might have some growing to do still! She may fill out a little bit. The x back requires a neck measurement, a measurement from the front of the chest to the last rib, and a measurement from the last rib to the base of the tail.

You can purchase an adjustable harness, but a properly fitted custom harness would make your pup feel more comfortable. Your call!
