Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

I'm stuck too! I wanted to somehow incorporate the name Rachel gave her in some way, or at least make reference to it.

It took me about 3-4 months before I finally came up with Dizzy's registered name. It will come to you eventually. I threw all sorts of stuff around, but after getting to know my little monster I settled on, Nando's Upper West Sideshow. Nando is the kennel name, we live in NYC on the upper west side, and Dizzy is a little quirky so, sideshow. Originally I thought I'd call him Nando's Gotham Fanfare, fanfare because he's named after a trumpet player, Dizzy Gillespie, but it was kinda cheesy plus he's such a goofball.

I love the whole process of picking AKC names Smile It'll come to you eventually.

Zoey's right now is Myshka's Fierce Vixen Zoey but I just sent in a name change, it's going to be Arctic Blue's Girl on Fire

Embry is Arctic Blue's Ember Glow and Ares is Arctic Blue's God of War

And hmm Caoimhe...Polaris...."Kennedy's northern star" and call her Caoimhe obviously. "Kennedy's Caoimhe's northern star"...Polaris means North Star/northern star...idk just off the top of my head!!

I like the "Acapella" idea! I'll have to work that in somehow!

the word for star in Irish is Réalta... I have thought about using that in there as a nod to Polaris

Wow, I've seriously been slacking with puppy pictures...Embarassed

here is Caoimhe's first snow experience last week:

Here she is on her first road trip. We went to NJ for Thanksgiving and she did SO well. Even on the hellish 11.5 hour car ride home.

Glad Caoimhe survived such a long ride! Layla's awesome in the car, too. I think she thinks it's a second home, haha. She even knows to get in her seat when I get in instead of trying to sit in my seat, haha. We'll be making a five-hour trip to my parents' place in the Adirondacks for Christmas, a trip that will also include a four-to-five-hour trip out to Buffalo, N.Y., to visit my father's family. I worry about Darren's and my nerves more than I do Layla's, haha!
