Hello....

Finally got our Jax out of the crate and sleeping on his bed near our bed. It's awesome! we actually took him to my in-laws and he knew his bed was his comfort area. He would crawl up and sleep.
Now it's sorda funny but though I ask.
Is there something behind how a husky sleeps? Jax tends to sleep on his back leg's up in the air and body twisted.

I saw him do this once and thought It was hysterical. Saw him do this and half dozen times more in the last few days.

I have seen a lot of huskies do that but I don't know if there is a reason. My guess was it exposed there belly to the air and might be a way to cool off. It will be interesting to hear what it actually is.

I actually read in a book about Huskies to determine about their personality by how they sleep.

If they sleep near you like close by/on you/ touching you, they feel safer near you and they want you to know that they know you will protect them.

If they sleep somewhat near you but no physical contact, they know you  can protect them, but they want you to know that they can handle themselves if anything should happen.

If they sleep far from you, they want to protect you at all costs, and want you to know that they are perfectly capable of handling themselves without your help.

If they sleep on their back they have a care-free nature and feel completely safe anywhere they sleep.

Interesting. Kenzi sleeps against my legs. If my husband is gone she sleeps on her back in his spot. Either way she always sleeps between me and the door.

Very interesting... all mine sleep away from me, except my malamute, she has to be in bed with me every night, if she is not in the bed she will sleep closer to me than the other dogs.
My husky makes grunting noises while she sleeps lol

Willow, and Bane sleep on their backs all the time. We leave one of our bedroom windows open, and Bane likes to sleep under the window on his back. Interesting to read about their personalities, and how they sleep!
