2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Wanna introduce myself my name is Rich, I'm currently serving in the US Army and just recently got a Siberian with my wife, Melissa. His name is Malakai and he's 7 weeks old, gray and white with blue eyes.

I've had two other dogs in my lifetime but owning a Siberian is new to me, my wife has never had a dog before so we're up to the challenge. Just registered here to allow you more experienced folk to spread the knowledge with any questions we have and to socialize. Thanks for having me.

Welcome man, my pup is 8 weeks, I have found a lot of good reading on here.

So as a gear head, I must ask you what you drive, guessing its turbo?

Hi Welcome! You pup is really cute! He looks like he might be a bi-eyed red, but it could just be the pic. Smile Either way he's a cutie and you must post more pix!

Hey lowding,
I drove a B5 Audi S4 with a dual GT2871R setup on it for the longest time making around 420awhp but she long since perished last year from my careless mistake. Got a EJ1 Honda Civic right now but it's naturally aspirated. I have a deployment to Afghanistan coming up so that's gonna give me some time to save some money and get something a little bit less ricey when I get back next year. Thinking maybe another S4 or a 4th generation Supra. But it's good to know you're getting some good reads on here. They're a particular breed and it helps to get input from actual owners that don't call themselves authors lol.

wpskier222, both his eyes are a darker shade of blue (I wouldn't say ice blue but they're not dark dark blue). But I'm not sure if they'll change with age. The major issues me and the wife are facing right now is his constant urge to chew on everything. He chews on shoes, wires, clothing, socks, even us lol. From my past experience and from every piece of advice I've gotten so far it's just his puppy phase (him being used to playing with his littermates). We don't necessarily scold him when he bites, just kind of tap his nose and give him a "no". We did buy him a little monkey to get his chewing out on lol. Potty training is obviously a drag but he's starting to learn the meaning of "outside". He'll squat down to go to the bathroom inside and I'll catch him before he does it and say "outside" and 9 times out of 10 he'll hold it while I rush him outside real quick.

He's starting to get really energetic. When we first brought him home he was somewhat shy (as expected) and kind of had 10 minutes of energy and then fell asleep for an hour. But last night he ran around the house for about an hour yelping and shouting at me when I wouldn't play with him. I enjoy his mischievous behavior I gotta admit. He found like 3 different ways out of his crate (see below for the crate training explanation lol). I eventually had to take a piece of board and mount it against the spot he kept escaping from. Then I put up two armor plates (we use them to stop bullets in combat but at home I'm using them to hold the board in place to keep Malakai inside).

Crate training is going surprisingly well. He hates it, but he only hates it when he's secured inside the cage. I'll keep him out of it all day unless I'm not there and at night he goes inside. But if he's tired throughout the day he will voluntarily enter the cage and fall asleep. He doesn't mess inside it, he'll wake us up around 2 times a night and cry to go outside so I gotta respect that.

My boy!

Very cute, my pup is not much older and still chewing like mad. Every time he chews on the wrong thing I tell him 'leave', and give him something he IS allowed to chew. He is starting to get the idea and goes to find his chew toys when he is told to leave now, which I think is pretty smart Very Happy
