Swollen belly. Empty
PostSubject: Swollen belly.   Swollen belly. EmptyFri Dec 13, 2013 1:21 am

So my 7 week old Sibe male has a pretty swollen stomach. We were feeding him 2 times a day and recently switched to three times a day so I was wondering if this could be one of the reasons. He was just recently wormed so I'm confused as to what the possibilities might be.

Thanks in advance if you need more info just ask.

It might possibly be worms. Have you taken him to the vet to check it out? Puppies are supposed to be wormed at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks.

May I also ask why you have him at 7 weeks? Most puppies don't leave their litter until 8 weeks. The mom teaches them a lot of rules like bite inhibition and manners. Please be prepared for a mouthy puppy.

Updating before I go to work this morning.

I wasn't ruling out worms but it seemed unlikely, he's not due for his next worming for another week. That being said he woke us up at least 6 times last night to go outside, so I'm guessing the feeding system we had going caught up with us lol.

I do see that most puppies are rehomed at 8 weeks, but a lot of them at 6.
