I write this four hours after one of the hardest things a person can have happen. The bathroom heater has been running at night to keep him as comfortable as possible. We knew our time was limited, but it's never something that you can really accept. The routine at the Harris house has been dealt another blow. No more gentle brushes of the head and tail as he begs for his morning bacon, no more clogged sinuses from a ball of fur on half the pillow all night, no more shoulder rides with scabbed over claw marks, no more chasing birds and squirrels with the sled dogs out back... No more pain. He was sick, and now he has rejoined our original pack on the bridge to await our arrival.

Goodbye Booski, you're brother can groom you now forever and through eternity. Take care of my two big boys, we love you guys and miss you terribly.

Oh Eddy, I'm so sorry You have such a wonderful family (people and fur) and I'm sure this has been so hard on all of you. I'm sorry for your loss. At least all your fur friends have company on that bridge... RIP Booski.

Thanks everyone. This passing has been unusually hard, and all I've got is the internet to distract me. He was my go to guy for comfort during times like this, always first to just snuggle up and stay at my side. The sleds don't like me like this. They look at me as if I just told them Santa isn't real, then they go away and ignore me. I hope the silence in this house goes away soon.

Eddy and Lindsay im sorry for your loss, i never saw much of him at the house as he stayed away but i know you all loved him very much and take confort in knowing he is not alone over the bridge. 2010 is all most over.
