Where do you live or what is the weather like? Are there distinct seasons?
What are you feeding her?
Are you absolutely certain she is all husky and not a mixed breed?

Huskies have different coat types and they can sometimes have a shorter coat. My huskies coat is considered short and I myself am waiting for the rest of his puppy coat to fall out so his tail can stop looking so thin.

Be careful what you wish for  Laughing - when we got Ami, his tail was a scrawny bottle brush. The shelter said he had almost no coat when he was seized. Well, he has coat now and while he probably is not a wooly, he comes pretty damn close - his tail is a huge plume, definitely a fault according to husky mom's diagram. It may be the weather for him - he is outdoor dog in upstate NY and we had a very cold winter. So far, with coat blowing, we've lost half a dog -"big boy" does not quite apply anymore Very Happy  Doesn't matter - he's my beautiful "butterscotch sundae", sweet as can be, a love and he is ours for good!

I had the papers I got her straight from a breeder... dont know what I did with them... she is pure Husky. Vet always sais shes healthy as can be. She gets fed blue buffalo or whatever that is with the wolf on front haha. I live in MD been here with her a little over a year before that NC for the first year and half of her life. It has distinct seasons, and we just had a horrible winter and are just now getting into spring.
