PostSubject: Any suggestions for an E-collar? Bought two and Jax can still get to his wound   Tue May 27, 2014 9:18 pm

Any suggestions on an e-collar to protect a neutering wound? 17in neck, and a 12" x large e-collar doesn't work. Any luck with inflatable or canvas?

So Jax got neutered on Friday, and i've been watching the wound like a hawk. Well, Sun he breaks his e collar the vet gave him and starts licking like crazy. Unfortunately this opens up the wound a little and i did a repair on the collar and got some liquid bandage spray to cover it and prevent him from licking. Well, turns out he figured out a way to stretch and bend the cone so he can still get to the wound. I went to petsmart and got the biggest cone they had, put it on, and he can still get to the wound!

So frustrating.
