Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Well, I would like to say "welcome" to the site. This site contains just about every answer to any question you will ever have! Also, congratulations on the new addition to your family. Is your husky a puppy or an adult already? If she is a puppy, do not give up and be well prepared! We experienced many sleepless nights when we picked up Shadow from the airport! Though we experienced many hardships with Shadow, we also experienced some of the greatest moments of our lives with him by our side. He is the love of our lives and we would not trade him for anything. He is the best little guy in the entire world!! I hope you enjoy Rainbow as much as we enjoy Shadow.  Very Happy

Rainbow will only be 8 weeks old at the time we pick her up. So yes, puppy size!

We picked up Shadow when he was 11 weeks  Very Happy. He challenged me every minute of the day when he was a puppy. My boyfriend was working all the time, so I stayed home with Shadow when I didn't have class and he drove me crazy, but I learned a lot from Shadow. He is also our first dog, so thats why it was so challenging. But Shadow has turned out great. The best part about a husky is that you will never get bored!! Haha I love that part because huskies are so energetic that you will be very occupied. Huskies also learn very quickly, so try to teach rainbow many tricks. Huskies have many beautiful qualities, one of them would be that they talk. Be prepared for rainbow to argue with you! Till this day shadow argues about doing things he doesn't want to do. It is so funny because he knows that he is still going to do as we say, but he just has to howl before he does it. It is really funny. Oh I recommend you take a lot of pictures of Rainbow because she is going to grow very fast  Very Happy!! I can't wait to see Rainbows pictures Smile
