1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Hi everyone
Probably a silly question but my husky hated his crate we tried for months to crate train him but gave up, now that he's 10months old he prefers to sleep out under the stars, everyday I put his blankets in our laundry which is downstairs and every night he's dragging them out into the centre of the yard. I always thought they were den animals. Is my boy a bit weird or is this "normal" ?
Thanks

I am so glad to hear you say this. I have 3 dog houses, I have used straw and blankets. Where does Mr. Dog sleep? Either between the pine tree and his preferred dog house or in a dirt depression under another pine tree or in the grass under an oak tree! Does he use his dog house? Yes - AFTER he gets soaked in a rain! Drives me crazy Rolling Eyes

Honestly I would take it as a compliment. That your pups feel so safe and secure they are happy sleeping out in the open. My little man sleeps all over mostly depending on how hot a place in the room is and how comfy as far as I can tell.

Totally normal...both my two prefer sleeping outside. I think it gets too hot for them to be in the house at night, even WITH the A/C going. I just think they'd rather be outside where they get fresh air.

Glad to know he's not the only camper out there lol, during the day he sleeps in the front yard between the fence and the wheelie bin under the shade of the rose bushes or under the dining table, he had non-supervised inside life revoked when I had a dozen bras and my new reading glasses totally destroyed, it's only mummy's stuff that gets ruined though not mr husband or mr kids, just to prevent any from worry my yard is a double fenced compound lol, concrete footings run under all fences and super high fences, it kinda looks like we are prepping for a zombie apocalypse lol, his breeder gave us total seal of approval lol (we built under her directions) better to be safe then sorry, and if the zombies do come all the husky owners will be safe, lol.
