This would be the wife's garden.  Yes it's really that big.  She has a roadside stand that she and the the grand kids will work.  It started a couple years ago as selling sweet corn and then she and my daughter decided to try other veggie's and Halloween pumpkins.  This is the biggest plot yet.  In addition to everything else she added melons this year.  Her brother works the ground and plants the corn with a tractor, the rest of it is done by people power.  My part is to sit in the shade and shake my head Very Happy

Very nice - I wish I had that much flat, un-tree'd land. I've tried sweet corn, but hubby doesn't want to take down any more trees and there's just too much shade - not all at the same time but I'm estimating no more than 6 ish hours total sun from mid-June to mid-August Sad Does grow really nice beets and green beans, though.

Lovely...I envy the sweet corn and am so sorry you are limited to 1/day Sad

So far, the only thing out of my garden this year has been the asparagus and rhubarb and today, a frame of honey that yielded 1.25 quarts. The rest I am trying to reclaim from the past 2 years of neglect, stupid old body of mine. At least this year I can dig and pull weeds. My garlic is still growing but it will be small this year - early winter onset and very late spring Mad

Great garden! I'm so jealous.

We haven't really been growing vegetables this year. We have a chili plant and the rest are pretty much growing fruit trees. We did pick nectarines a few weeks ago from one of them and they were delicious! Home grown is the best!

Hughie, you make me homesick, grew up near where Amy lives and we would have a garden such as yours. People in Texas think a big zuke is a little larger than a cuke, lol. They haven't a clue. We got some great maters and cherry maters this year, for the first time ever my peach tree produced 2 peaches so yummy and juicy. That's all my food garden for this year, still have a lot of maters. I planted 2 apple trees but I'm doing something wrong, may have to ask you what the secret is....

Rocio, you're so right home grown is the best.
