I love it!!!! I need to find out if there's an indoor agility facility somewhere in the area we can go play at. Nikolai pretty much doesn't "do" the one at the dog park. I think he'd ROCK weave poles. ;-)

Elara got to shine at her first AKC Match! It wasn't a show, just a match for fun/practice. She was the only sibe there, but we did win Jr. Puppy Best in Group and best a rottie and dobie! A terrier won Jr. Puppy Best in Match though. The group judge was very nice and liked Elara a lot. She judges sibes a lot, so I was very happy!

I was looking through all the pics and realized the working group judge was sitting right behind me! Thank goodness I didn't notice or I would have been even more nervous! Hopefully I didn't do anything too silly in the ring. She's the one in pink with the yellow hat:

Went to their favorite dog park the other day. The park is really awesome.

Nice grass with huge oak trees for shade.


And a pond for the dogs to swim in.

I took Elara to an agility trial to get her more socialized. I left her monster sister at home, cause she's not quite ready to be entered into a trial and she SCREAMS when left in the crate. So not wanting to disturb the peace, I left Siku home. We're slowly working on her being quiet in her crate, but we're not there yet. Elara on the other hand is nice and quiet. Go figure.

I can't believe how HUGE Elara is!!! She's so beautiful and puffy! I love her!! I love that dog park too btw. So pretty!!!! I wish we had parks like that in Miami =( Kristinas doggie park in Plantation, where the meet ups are held, is a lot prettier then the parks down here too! Sucks for me!

Thanks! I wish the park was a little bit closer, but it's well worth the drive. Funny thing, Elara still seems so small to me. We met another 5 month old husky at dog class and she was about 3 inches taller than Elara. Elara just seems so short and stout.

I thought it was funny. On Sunday I was asked if Elara was a wooly and by another person if I had shaved or clipped Siku! Weird. No Elara is just fluffy and Siku just blew coat. lol.

Elara is gorgeous! I think she IS stocky for a female. Females usually have little, skinny front legs. Her chest seems wide and solid for a little girl. Maybe it is her fluffy fur...

Do you plan to show her? How old is she? My guy was born Nov. 17 and I feel sad that he's losing his fluffy, puppy look.

I do plan on showing her. She's 5 months old now, Oct. 25, 2010. She has the build of her dad so far, which is great cause I think he's gorgeous! But you should have seen her brother. He's even stockier than her!

My dad and I took Siku and my parent's dog, Czar, out on the boat to an island. They had lots of fun running around on the flats (you can walk out in the water and it's stays between 1.5' to 3' for about 3/4ths of a mile!), rolling in smelly things, and chasing birds, fish, and crabs. Siku, of course, had to give us a scare. She freaking swam across the channel back to the mainland! We were yelling her name trying to get her to turn around, but nooooo she just kept going straight. Thankfully the shore was solid mangroves and there wasn't much room for her to mess around, so she quickly got bored of it and swam back to us. Damn husky!!!!!!! Needless to say, she was on lead after that and we will be looking for an island that's much farther away from the mainland next time. But the dogs did have fun and we all got home safely, so it was a fun day.

As always, great pics! Looks like Siku's coat has lightened up quite a bit too!

Yeah, she's a bit lighter now. She looks even lighter in those pictures, cause she's all wet and her hair clumped together showing more undercoat. Funny how much they change after a good ol' coat blow! She's finally growing back in her undercoat after her first blow.

Oh I forgot to add, poor little Elara has already started her first heat! I couldn't believe it! She's only 5 months old! At least she's being good with her diaper and doesn't try to get it off. Oh the joys of owning a show dog! lol.
