1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Taste of the Wild Dog Food Empty
PostSubject: Taste of the Wild Dog Food   Taste of the Wild Dog Food EmptyTue Sep 16, 2014 2:22 pm

I am about to switch my dog to Taste of the Wild. I have been trying to feed him Diamond Naturals, but he refuses to eat it. He has been refusing food for three days now!! I want to wait him out, but it breaks my heart knowing he hasn't eaten. I have seen where a lot of people on here feed their dogs the Taste of the Wild food. So my question is, what formula do you and your dog like the best?

I recently switched to Acana. Riley absolutely loves it.

I have heard good things about TOTW.

I use Salmon/Pacific stream when I feed them TOTW. Has a strong smell to it.

I feed the High Prairie formula - last winter, Ami got to snack on all sorts of deer remains from hunters so I figured, why not...then, next door neighbor said his vet recommended this one to manage skin issues in his GSD. He said once he switched, all his dogs are doing much better - eyes, skin, coat. I just wish the individual kibble pieces were bigger - Ami really liked to crunc up the Iams pro-choice for large breeds. These could be cat food (and has on occasion - the cat steals the dog's food, the dog steals the cat's food - hell, the birds steal the cat food Rolling Eyes

Maybe I should add my dogs get wet food daily as well so I brush their teeth daily. They also get minty bones. Lol

I don't know the exact ones, but Miya hated the salmon and the lamb.....The only two she likes is the wild fowl and the bison(both are the higher protein ones, and I will not feed pork).

Both of mine eat the pacific stream/salmon. They love it. My one had stomach issues and this food resolved it for him. I have never had an issue with pickiness with either one of them. They beg me in the morning and the evening for their meals.
