Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

HI,
my husband is getting out of the navy and we will be moving home to Fredericksburg, VA. We have had our Husky since he was a itty bitty ball of fur and teeth and have been living in military housing. I've been looking for a rental but everyone keeps saying they won't take a Siberian Husky, apparently they are on the dangerous dog list.

so my question is does anyone live in the area, stafford county, city of fredericksburg or spotsylvania, and know of any townhouses or apartments that are Husky friendly?

it's so ridiculous my 8 month old Siamese cat is more of a danger to the public than my husky.

thanks in advance.

re-homing is NOT an option. he is family!

I live in Woodbridge which is about 15 ~ 30 away depending on traffic. All I can offer is to join the facebook H2m2 of virginia https://www.facebook.com/groups/h2m2va/ and see if anyone in that area has any info. Welcome to the neighborhood.

There are husky friendly apartments in lorton, va. One of my girlfriends just moved to Stafford, I'll ask her in a little bit if she knows of any.

Just wanted to update in case anyone else ends up in the same situation. STAFFORD LAKES APARTMENTS will let us have our Husky and our German Shepard, $300 pet deposit for both and $25 pet rent per month on top of normal rent. It's not the biggest or the best but it's in our price range and will let our furkids live with us. thank you to everyone who offered to help us find a place. now lets keep our fingers crossed that our application is approved and Murphy doesn't decide to screw things up.
