2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Do any of you have three or more dogs/huskies in your household? What has your experience been like? Is it manageable? And how did the introduction of a new member to the pack go?

I am 90% sure I will be adding my dream dog to my little pack of two mixed rescues in the next 10-12 weeks and I want to know if I am in for a rude awakening. I know it will be a bit hectic at first, but I think it will be worth it. My current two dogs are fixed, one male and one female and they get along great. I don't want to mess up their wonderful dynamic. The female is the more dominant one and for that reason I plan on getting a male. My dogs will be 4 in September and November. Is this a good age to introduce another puppy into the pack?

I'm sure there are people on the forum who have 3 dogs who can help but in the meantime this is a good read on how to introduce new dogs.

Just to clarify for people who may have advice for you, when you say you are introducing a "puppy", how young will that puppy be? The above link is great for introducing a grown dog to the pack, but a "puppy",among other things, probably wouldn't even be leash trained yet.

Puppy will be 10-12 weeks old.

We just brought home our fourth which happens to be a husky mix puppy... 13 weeks old. The existing three (in order of oldest to youngest) is a Pomeranian, a Pomeranian, and a Beagle. The Beagle is one year old, and a mischievous dog (previously). Now that we have the puppy, the beagle is exhausted, and his bad behavior has stopped. One of the Poms want nothing to do with anyone, so he stays to himself. The oldest Pom seems to get along with everyone. The Beagle and Husky are best friends and play all day long. Not sure if our pack is the norm, but if you want my opinion, 4 is better than 3, at least for us. no middle child syndrome (or 2 middle childs depending on how you look at it, and at least they will have eachother). When we had 3, the oldest and youngest were ganging up on the middle who is the weakest and smallest. that has basically stopped, and now he kinda just does his own thing.

We are introducing number 14 tomorrow morning Wink She's already met her half brother, Keegan and bonded quite readily to him
