Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| *laughing* I love the term "blow their coat"...TJ obviously thought it meant EXPLODE!!! Went to bed one night with one little tuft on his rear and awoke to a massive explosion of tufts up past his last rib!! Windy didn't seem to get near the tufts as him. We brush every other day (and I'm not even going to talk about the vaccum!! ) Since they are both just shy of 7 months, this was their first blow...somehow, I am NOT looking forward to next spring hahahahhahaha |

| I filled half a 30 gallon trash can within 20 minutes of brushing Kato. I still have another day or so....lol |

| I think this is it ... Layla's first coat blow. It's just starting because the tufts aren't sticking out yet but if you run your hand over her fur, especially on her back legs, a lot comes out. Here's the result of 15 minutes with the undercoat rake last night: |

| Man I should have taken a picture of the mountain I made with Okami's fur today!!
I have a unit of measurement when I brush her. I think the amount from today was 7 puppies worth. ( make that amount of like 3 month old puppies.... wooly ones lmao.) |

| Yesterday I got a little bit more than the poof of fur I posted last time. I took Layla out onto our deck and went through her with the undercoat rake for a good half-hour. It's still not nearly as much fur as I've seen from adult dogs, but Layla's definitely blowing. Also, today I saw this shared on the Facebook page of a musher I'm friends with. I don't endorse the Furminator in the corner, but you get the idea ... |

| This is our first time. If I take her to the dog wash and blow her dry, will it help? |
