2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Ajax, my Siberian Husky is nearly 5 months old (born on July 6th, 2015).

He is nearly 22 inches at the shoulder and weighs at least 40 lbs (it's been a while since I've attempted to weigh him, I wouldn't be surprised if he was closer to 50) but he is a purebred and AKC registered too.

I only saw his parents once when I went to go get him and the father was definitely on the larger size and the mother was underweight at the moment cause of the nursing but seemed to have been above average as well.

He isn't overweight or underweight and has the slender look from the top down. Is he simply on the larger scale? I know Siberians are supposed to be 21-24 inches at the shoulder but at this rate I can easily see Ajax being 25-26 inches tall at around a year (which I'd actually prefer as his playmates are all at least that size as well) or perhaps is Ajax an extremely early grower and already finished ~90% of his growth?

Picture semi-related (Ajax at ~8 weeks)

Welcome to the forum Chris. Ii think every dog is a little different. Miya was like yours at that age, weighing about 45 pounds and was tall and leggy. She had her last real growth spurt at around 8 months, and hasn't changed much since then. She is around 65 pounds and about 24 inches. And at 5 months roughly 22 inches and 45 pounds. So yes, Ajax may be close to fully grown at his age, look for that last growth spurt around 8 months, and then he will just fill out. We love pics here, so asking for more pics please, lol. Ajax is a beautiful pup.

Beautiful puppy! And yeah like Renee said don't worry about it some dogs are bigger the breed standard that's all he will probably end up near 65-70 pounds and there are quite a few pure bred dogs on this forum that are on the bigger side. I can't wait to see more pictures!

I'll get some pics today and get them up here. His parents were "field" dogs in that they worked around or with other animals on large property so it could be that their owner(s) chose them for their size.
