Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

YES!
I think it might have been Val that said, 'The best thing I could have ever done for my pets was to taking them to a holistic vet'.

So, when Ginger had her diarreha issues, I took her to Dr. Karen Jones because Dr. Miller wasn't around yet...both are excellent, but Dr. Miller is less than a mile from my house, she has personal and extensive breed specific experience with Huskies...she practices holistic, accupuncture and western, or a combination to find the best treatment...

It's amazing how things just work out the way they do. And yep, I remember ranting and raving about my holistic vet in FL and when Claudia decided to look one up and take Ginger. Who knew we'd be were we are today. I'm sure none of us will ever forget Sully's story, it's incredible how short a time he was with you, Claudia, yet how big an impact he made on all of our lives...powerful stuff. Smile

Yep, Sully is a special guy for sure!
I'm STILL emotional as to how all of this ended up!

Dr. Miller says, 'I can't save them all, but I can save one at a time...'

Kate - you need to stop by before 5pm for that picture!
Otherwise, you'll have to wait until March or April's meet up.

Sooo...Sully couldn't go home with Dr, Miller this evening.

Now I'm really pissed at Amy, the 'owner'...she said she was going to call, I called and left her a message...and she never faxed the surrender form.

Dr. Miller has 2 young children that lost their husky a year ago (or was it 2 years). And Dr. Miller doesn't want to bring home Sully and then take him away from her kids.

So Sully is with me until we have the surrender form from Amy...I used to back up Amy and now, I say she's also being an a$$! (Opps, can I say that on the forum? Sorry.)

You know....if you want to come by in the morning with Nikolai before we head on to our home visit...or maybe stop by afterward with Nikolai....it could happen tomorrow....

I won't let her!
I'll make sure he goes home with Dr. Miller!
And until then, he stays with me!

Until now I haven't posted on this thread but I have been following it like a soap opera! Oh, the crazy twists and turns of Sully's life. Having had a husky live to be 17 yrs old, I still see Sully as a young guy Wink

I'm hoping he gets to his new home soon!

I'm hoping he gets to his new home soon too! In the meantime, he can stay with us as long as it takes.

I cannot believe Amy hasn't called or emailed since Thursday night! If she was going out of town or something this weekend because of President's Day, she could at the VERY LEAST have mentioned it so wouldn't have left me and his 'soon to be owner' hanging!

GGrrrrr!!!
Now I really do like Amy at all! This is just inconsiderate of her.
She better have an exceptional excuse for not contacting me for several days!

I feel like telling her that Sully got loose and since he didn't come with ANY tags, we can only hope he's turned in to a shelter somewhere...

...and then never call her back! *insert evil laugh here*

Evil or Very Mad
