| Beautiful beautiful pictures, that scenery is just gorgeous! As is Bodhi (he looks a little fluffier than I remember!) second pic from the bottom belongs in a frame, it's just the most perfect picture. Looks like you guys had a great time! |

| It was about seven miles total.
Bodhi met a six month old female Bernese Mt. Dog on the way down. She was a little intimidated by Bodhi at the beginning- he is what we call "enthusiastic", jumping up on his hind feet and trying to woo-woo in his non existant voice. We hiked for awhile together. Bodhi was on his long lead, and the BMD was off-leash. The dog would run past Bodhi and collapse in some shade. We'd walk by; the dog would stay in the shade resting until her owners reached her. They get her going; she'd run past us and the whole sequence would start again! |

| Bodhi had a bath today. Maybe he's less furry now. I took off a shopping bag of fuzz. |

| Does Bodhi look less furry now? This was today- after the bath and defuzzification project. |

| He looks great! You take the best pics of him! This weekend I gotta defuzzify mine, haha, supposed to be in the triple digits! They don't need any unnecessary coat on them and their bath a couple weeks ago loosened up a lot of it. |

| Good luck with those upcoming temps, Jimmy. The dogs will probably be down for the count until it's over.
Direct sun is what does Bodhi in. On our hike last weekend, it wasn't hotter than 75. But he went through a whole water bottle. He'd start jumping when he saw me pull it off the pack. |

| Thanks Michael! We usually don't get this kind of heat for a few more months, and temps here have been so mild up til now that the dogs (and humans, haha) I think will be wherever there is shade I'm thinkin it might be time they got used to the pool, lol. Bodhi sounds a lot like Mishka with the direct sunlight, if there is shade on a hike (and our hike is nothing like yours!) Mishka will find it, same with the water, she hops up on me when I'm getting it out, haha. |
