Hi everyone,

I am a new Husky owner. I wanted some recommendations on dog food because I have been getting a lot of different answers.

The breeder fed her 4health brand chicken and rice. I am in the process of switching her to Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream for Puppies.

I took her to the vet today just to get her checked out, and the vet recommended Royal Canin, Hill's or Purina pro plan.

Anyone have any thought? Should I switch her again?

Thanks

Well, I've started this three times and after having driven 600 miles today, I can't do it right. Someone help, please!!
I was trying to use dog food advisor to show the various rankings of the foods but my mind just isn't working right tonight!

If you already started the process of switching her to TOTW. I'd just stick to it. Everyone who uses TOTW on here that I've read, has been very happy with it. I personally don't use it (just not a place near here that sells it and Costco's Natures Domain is pretty much equal from what I can tell so that's what I feed) but I'd definitely take TOTW above the 3 choices your vet recommended.

I wouldn't switch her. TOTW is a better food than all of those. The only time going to hills or royal is half worth the switch is if your pup has some extreme nutritional needs or allergies but normal healthy dogs are better off steering clear of them.

We feed TOTW and are very happy with it. Dogs love it, lush, soft, lustrous coats, full of energy and the price is not exorbitant like some of the higher end foods.

Here's the link Al was trying for:

TOTW is my choice also.
My husky was 3 months old when I got him, he was abandoned and had mange. His coat didn't look like a husky puppy or husky adult coat. In only a month and a half, he has a full, soft, nice husky coat going.
We were feeding our other dog something more expensive (that honestly wasn't as healthy as TOTW), and when we started the new puppy on TOTW, the other dog was more interested in his puppy food than the stuff he usually got...so we switched him to TOTW also. He's a huge fan.

TOTW is a far better food than any of what your vet recommended.
