| We met up with Claudia, JD, and Ginger in hopes of some late season snowshoeing in Nederland, CO. We drove up Eldora rd till the plow stopped and it was hiking in from there, what normaly is a dirt road to a trail head in the summer was a snowy hiking trail in March. We were headed to Hessie trail head to go up to Lost lake. We parked on the side of the road and started to get geared up. i swear i can't go one trip with out something happening! i have S&J hooked up to the skijoring ropes and have them hooked to the back of my car as i got my stuff on, after im not sure how many min i looked up and was like WHERES JACK!!!!! something cut the rope on the skijoring line and he was gone!!! the 3 of us started yelling his name and he was over in the yard to the home across the street, he stoped to pee on a tree and then came runing back, oh THANK GOD!!! im happy to know his recall works but if he was to far to hear us i wonder if he would come back, i dont want to know...So after that we got started around 9 am and packed our snowshoes in our packs as they were not needed for what we could see, but you never know. the trail was packed and we used our yaktracxs on our boots for grip. i used my tracks and the start to finish stats are as follows we hiked 6.43 miles total time was 3h 15m elevation start was 8,744ft higest was 9,775ft. we gained 1,857ft now on to the fun part... PICTURES!!! S&J Ginger lets go! Me and Sierra and Jack at the start of the trail head after hiking the road Claudia, JD, and Ginger (i need a new camera, sorry guys) we off tracked it and went stright up, Claudia got stuck! ginger and jd lost lake! lunch time the girls/twins sierra says wheres my love mom! ginger is getting some claudia JD took off with Jack and us girls took our time to tired to hold my head up! you know you love me! the best part of hiking! tried huskies! _________________ |

| Great pictures!! It was a great day and good fun! (Jenn, I promise I'll get in better shape for next snowshoeing season so I can actually keep up a little closer!) Jack was great when called! Sierra is TOO cute! And Ginger looks so much like Sierra, JD actually called Ginger 'Sierra' tonight!! |
