Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to add a quick 'hello' from my little pack in Northern Ireland.  My daughter and I already have a Jack Russell (12 years old but still full of life) and recently added our first ever Siberian Husky, Saska (Norse - protector of mankind - apparently lol! ).  She is currently 8 1/2 weeks and is a bundle of energy.  The whole family is loving her especially Phoebe our Jack Russell who seems to have found a new best friend.

I stumbled across the site while looking for tips and advice on training methods (esp. crate training) after the first night at home which I thought I was prepared for study . Saska is responding well to most things esp basic commands, like "sit" and "crate" Shocked ...she still hates when i lock the door of the crate though - it's a work in progress.

Anyway, that's our little introduction. We look forward to getting to know you all wave

Tanya

Welcome to the forum. My mom fell in love with Belfast when she went over several years back. Course, she fell in love with that whole area. Huskies are smart. Sometimes too smart. They can pick up on things fast and then turn around and ask why they should do that just as fast.

Thank you for the welcome ladies.

You both have beautiful dogs.  I love all the pics on this site.  Can't wait to start sharing Saska with you all.  It's great here Jenn, the weather is perfect for huskies... cold haha.  I can't take Saska out on walks yet as she's not got both her booster vaccinations yet but I can't wait as I can tell she's curious.

This is my first ever siberian husky ... but I've wanted one for so long. I can tell already it's going to be a fun journey

Thankyou Ronin!! 2 gorgeous dogs... the little one is very much like my jack Russell. She is a toy, and pure white with tan ears.

Aww, Saska is so pretty! You are going to have a blast with her. Even when huskies are doing something they shouldn't be, they're so cute that you just gotta say "awww", LOLOL

Thankyou Jimmy! Two gorgeous huskies... love the pic!! I can't believe how much fun she is already. She has such a fun little character already. Shows very little fear too... that was my first shock for how small she is haha. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and your packs
