| Hello everyone, Please kindly advise for the following situtation. Charcoal has a swollen toe on the right front paw. Last Thursday undergo anesthesia to examine possibility of foreign body like grass seed, etc, x-ray and biopsy. While waiting for biopsy's result, the above 2 tests are negative. Stitch up & bandage the wound and E-collar on. Vet advise to leave the bandage on for a day and remove it. Thus, bandage removed on Friday's night, wound looks dry and stitches are in places. After 2 hours later, found the floor are covered with paw printed with blood. Stitches are missing! Absolutely shock!
First call to Vet next morning, and vet advises not to re-stitch while report should come back on Monday and would be better for Charcoal to bandage it over the weekend, just have to be very caution with moisture.
Unfortunately biopsy result is not ready as been told while the vet advise to remove the bandage after 2 days of wearing. The wound look ok when took off but within an hour it start to bleed again.
I am thinking would that be the E-collar that he wears on and he scratch its front toe against the edge of/ collar?
What could I do for Charcoal to help the wound heal?
Thank you for your time reading it.

| I would place the collar on and if you have some coconut oil cover the wound with that. Allow it to absorb into the skin. If tests come back A OK then I would continue that for a week it should heal, of course keep vet informed, but my Sofie sliced her paw pad open and I used the coconut oil and nothing else for about 7-10 days and healed perfectly. I just made sure it was nice and clean daily and the coconut oil. |

| when both Finn and Jack had foot issues it was collar on and hiking bootie on the foot, no wrap on under it to let it breath. thats why i love having booties on hand, dogbooties.com is the best.
you can also try and old sock and some sport tape around it to keep it in place instead of bandages. just keep it dry! _________________ |

| Thank you @MiyasMomma and @jbealer for your advices. @jbealer Re: Booties Which denier would you recommend for indoor? Would you recommend their 9000 denier booties for outdoor use? Or you would recommend to use drip bag or else? Thank you. |
