Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| What is there to chat about? Well, my 12 week old, Kaila met her first armadillos today, a mother and three babies have taken up residence under my barn, until I can oust them next weekend. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to kill them or play with them but, she knew she had to chase and dig for them when they went to their burrow. She never got to any of them but, it was cute watching her try for a bit and, she loved the treats she got from me for her efforts.
They are a nuisance that will basically rototiller the entire property if given time to do so, destroying gardens, the septic drain field, the lawn, the flower beds and all - they have to go. They also carry Hansen's Disease (Leprosy) so, not good to have around. |

| HOTM is our calendar photo contest. We set a monthly topic and people who have more than 50 posts can enter a picture for the contest. We vote at the end of the month and the top three go in our calendar that we sell at the end of the year for charity. All proceeds from the calendar will be donated to a husky rescue. Here is the official rules sticky for HOTM: HOTM RulesThe chat section is just for anyone to talk about the monthly HOTM topic (this is different than the daily hijack that has the date in the title. Those are free-for-all whatever you want to talk about), post up pictures that meet the criteria and maybe get opinions on which picture they want to enter. Those who don't meet the post count minimum to enter in the actual contest yet are free to participate here and chat away which helps your post count so that you will be able to enter soon. Much of my dogs summer is spent de-crittering our yard. We do have Armadillo but they don't tend to come through the fence where the dogs are. I did have a nice half rotted mole brought up on the porch the other morning though. _________________ |
