Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

A family friend just had a litter of GSD pups.  I've known Matt since he was a teen - he's been wanting his own dogs since I can remember...everybody is thrilled.  Even though he wasn't planning a litter until fall, seems like Samson and Murran had different ideas  Not Husky but....PUPPIES. GSD Puppies. 1625187496 I wasn't thrilled and discussed the whole backyard breeder bit, health testing...quite surprised to find he was wayyyy ahead of me on that...I guess the biggies for GSD are hips and elbows. Didn't know elbows were a thing!

Pups are spoken for.  First pic is Mom with babies, second are the parents, third is Murran waiting in her whelping box with her "big brother".  So bittersweet to watch the kids grow up and have families of their own...2 footed AND 4 footed I love you

Nice looking Gsd's Amy! Wish I could get another. And yes elbows are a thing Smile And I am a firm believer that huskies and gsds get along fabulously. Sofie will herd up Miya for me, hahahahaha

We do not allow selling of puppies on the forum, but this is more general interest since you aren't the seller and education about the value of a great companion breed to our huskies, right? Wink

I think GSDs do a good job of grounding our sometimes too stubborn huskies. While they have no issue keeping up with and handling the exercise demands and rough play of our huskies I think their slightly better trainability can sometimes be of value in reigning our crazy snow dogs in.

Puppies?! You mean those little black lumps in the box? Very Happy

How did those little black lumps come out of such beautiful parents? Very Happy

Seriously - the kids will be beautiful. I wonder if they will all be black & tan, or some interesting colors will emerge!

GSD's were always my favorite. Never had one but always wanted one.

Now that we have Huskies, I think GSDs have moved into second place. Smile
