I thought I was being smart in mixing in some green beans in Storm's food with Nupro and some THK....it worked great with the french cut but nope on the regular cut - he STILL managed to eat around it scratch

Must go to the store for FRENCH cut green beans....

How weird is that!! I've gotten both and they ate them just the same. I'm with ya on the scratch

He'll be svelte in no time! Laughing Does he have a noticeable tuck at the abdomen when viewed from the side?

These were just taken a few minutes ago...He's getting there...maybe when he hits 95 lbs, we'll see more a tuck at the abs.

I'm hoping he's down to 90 lbs by Fall....that'll be 12 lbs by the end of September...I think that's doable...

I have full vet records for Storm, and looking back:

5/15/05 - Storm was born

10/29/05 -
He got Interceptor for 51-100 lbs and Frontline for 45-88 lbs which means he weighed between 51 and 88 lbs

4/14/06 - He's still between 51 and 88 lbs

1/11/07 - Weighed at 95 lbs

7/12/08 - between 89 and 100 lbs

3/19/10 - over 100 lbs (Interceptor 100 lbs + 26-50lbs)

8/10/10 - Weighed 140 lbs

Between August 2010 and March 31st, 2011, he went into foster care and lost 28 lbs.

@cmanding wrote:

His initial weight when he arrived in Denver was 112 lbs on April 1st.

April 19 - 108 lbs

May 3 - 106.2 lbs.

May 6 - 105.9 lbs.

May 16 - 105.5 lbs.

May 27 - 103.9 lbs

June 1 - 102.9 lbs

June 8 - 102.2 lbs

Dr. Miller says when we walked in the door:
'Well, hello Storm! I see all the pictures posted on Facebook, and you are looking so good lately! I remember when I first met you, I couldn't find any ribs under you, and now I can feel ribs!'

wow now put that into people weights and it sounds like me, all over the place!

i think your best guess on a good weight is age 3 and 4 so around a 90ish husky when you get the weight off.

I can't belive he was a 51+ lb puppy at 5 months!
...and about 1.5 years old, he was 95 lbs!

Wow! I'm guessing Appa is going to be a big boy!
I think the difference is, Storm is a Husky and I believe we think Appa is a Mal...?

It would be interesting to have them side by side!

We think he is, but we were told he's 100% husky. Who knows...

My vet would have said Storm is Malamute but he has blue eyes...beside the fact that his papers show he's 100% husky.

I would love to meet Appa someday.... I love you

Appa definitely looks like there's at least some Mal in him, very Mal-like features.
