Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Just sharing something I found that was heavy on the totally adorable.

The animals are not allowed in certain rooms for good reasons. Our bedroom is off limits because we don't have enough bed to share. Oh, and the cat will pee on stuff. Not a urinary issue or marking issue he's just an asshole. What used to happen is that I would open the door to Balou, our Saint, and Echo, our dog waiting for me by the steps.

I walk out of the upstairs bathroom to find three dogs and the cat staring at me like I have bacon on my butt. Then I have to carefully walk down the steps to avoid the cat killing me and the two puppies tripping me. Balou is behind me like normal following with a ton of patience. For the next five minutes, ALL of them followed me around the house! I just wanted to share a strange and totally adorable anecdote.

Animals are so funny. My cat doesn't have an issue if I go into other rooms of the house where she isn't allowed like the garage and sunroom, but if she sees me go out the front door to the outside world she will walk aimlessly around the living room screaming at the top of her lungs. Even if my husband is still in the house, even in the room, with her. It's like she thinks I die when I go out that door for some reason.

So so funny. I've had similar experiences here - particularly Z'ev. I remember saying one day as I was leaving the kitchen to put something away in the bedroom...turning to the 3 dogs behind me "I'm just putting laundry away, this is NOT an expedition! Three huskies looking up expectantly, tails wagging..."OK, its an expedition, let's go..."

Okay, an expedition would be fine if Balou the half wall wouldn't keep stopping it to check to see if everyone, including me, is okay. XD

Our home is an upstairs duplex. Normally we can come and go as we please, but once in a while Kona thinks he's going with us without us inviting him.

He waits at the top of the stairs until we approach, then heads downstairs. He makes a huge, arcing leap and clears the last four steps. It's especially funny when seen from the front window - he goes flying by from about 4 ft up with the happiest look on his face! I've tried to get pics, but it's too random of an event - really fun!
