| Hey guys, as you know I live in Florida and it's always hot. I was wondering what are some good frozen treats I can give Sasha to help cool her off during the summer. I read somewhere about freezing some yogurt, does it have to be a certain kind? I always have ice pops in my freezer ( since I have kids) so I was wondering if that's alright too. |

| Make sure there is no grape juice. Mine like melons i cut them up and freeze them. Also blocks of ice are fun just fill a ziploc halfway with water and freeze it. Cantaloupe and watermelons are popular with my dogs. So are berries |

| Ice pops have sugar don’t they? I’d say no to that. Mine love just plain old ice cubes. I’d just try and stay away from anything with sugar and grapes as was mentioned already. |

| Really, grapes?? Why can't they have grapes or grape juice? No I buy the sugar free ice pops! My kids are energetic enough without the added sugar. So sugar free ice pops are ok? Watermelon, that's great! My daughter loves watermelon so we usually have some, I'll have to try it on Sasha! Thanks guys! |

| I just googled 'why can't dogs have grapes' , I never knew they are fatal to dogs!! Thank you so much for telling me about that guys. I love raisins and my girls love grapes , so we usually have them both in the house. I'll be sure to keep an extra close eye on Sasha when those are both out. |

| Avocados and xylitol (fake sugar in gum and toothpaste) are really bad also |

| Id not give anything to a dog/puppy that is sugar free. Dogs are not humans and cannot process things the way we do. Sugar free stuff isn't even good for us! Same with sugar, dogs shouldn't have sugar. Dogs get diabetes just like humans. The artificial sweetener that is in gum and toothpaste, I believe can even be in some peanut butters so just read ingredients before you give your pup anything.
As for the grapes, don't feel bad, a lot of people don't know how harmful it can be. I didn't know for the longest time, now I am VERY careful. Just last summer I had a bbq, and a mother came with her kids and one walked around with a Baggie of grapes, I finally took them away myself after finding them left behind in the backyard after the third time. The mother kinda rolled her eyes at me, and I rolled my eyes right back...I had repeatedly asked her to be careful with her kid leaving grapes anywhere. |

| Lately ive been giving mine frozen beef stew meat ive been looking at ingredients in things and well lets say i was surprised. Pits and seeds are bad. Some contain arsenic and cyanide like cherries and apples. Mine get whatever im eating as long as its grain free. Youd be shocked at how much spider like pineapple and grapefruit and bananas which my other 3 wont touch |

| Last summer, we would dump the ice from the ice maker bucket onto the ground outside. They loved it. I always wanted to try freezing dog food in ice cubes. |

| As far as yogurt, whenever I make a "yogurt parfait" for myself (plain Greek yogurt, berries, granola, drizzle of honey), my dog gets a big dollop of the plain yogurt in his bowl! He licks it up happily.
I think that is supposed to be healthy for them (vs the sugared flavored yogurt)? I guess you could freeze that, too? Although I haven't tried frozen yet. |
