Wooly or not? Empty

Hello! A friend of my parents gave me a husky puppy and I was wondering if she is a wooly or a regular husky. Her mother is regular but her father is a wooly. She is 7 weeks and looks super fluffyWooly or not? 088cde10

First off - 7 weeks is too early to leave the litter and mother. Pups learn important social lessons from siblings and Mom in the last few weeks. Eight weeks is minimum (any chance you can return to litter for a week or 2?)

As for wooly or not - too early to discern. I look for tufting around the ears, feathers on the backs of the legs and a sort of modified lion's mane around the face. Your pup could just be extra plush or a wooly in the making. Probably a few months before an educated guess.

Cute little thing - enjoy!

Happy to hear that - puppies really learn a lot in the litter about how to modulate their behavior. She sure is cute.

She is 11 weeks now! She still fluffy. I don’t think she is a wooly but she can maybe be long haired, doesn’t she?Wooly or not? 70e6aa10

A long haired husky IS a wooly. And, based on the tufting in her ears, I would say at least partial expression of a wooly gene. Hope safe the backs of her legs, her belly fur? The for around the face looks a bit poofier also. Only time will tell.

Cute she is!
