Does anyone know if huskies that are all white ten to be less furry? Is that a trait or is it just Aurora? Her fur seems to be very short and thin compared to anyother huskies Ive seen.

Husky coats are certainly not uniform. They come in a wide variety of "styles". Some are short-haired, average, and then wooly hukies. Undercoats can be standard or "fluffy" (Koda has this weird fluffy coat that sort of molts all year round instead of thick and in chunks like normal huskies-- I've seen it on a couple of others before-- for those of you who remember Linzi, her Ice was like that).

So to answer your question, I don't think it's a trait of white huskies, but rather just that husky coats are varied and there are many different types

All 6 white huskies I've met all had a thicker coat but less of an undercoat....and they ALL shed like crazy! (Just the ones I've met).

I think it just varies between dogs, not based on color. Siku has a much shorter coat than Elara and Elara has a lot more undercoat and is more fluffy. I've seen a fluffy white sibe and a thin coated one before.

I agree with the previous replies. Coat type and "fluffiness" have nothing to do with color and everything to do with genetics. Some are more dense than others, some are longer than others, and you will even find a wide variety of different textures from coarse to super soft too.

I get a lot of comments from people asking why my sibe is not as fluffy as most others since he has a shorter coat than most. I've even been accused of and questioned about shaving my husky because of his short coat.
