| Appa is blowing his coat and has been for 3-4 weeks now... We'll survive, but I'm not sure about our house... |

| Dakota's take forever as well. I was pleasantly surprised to find Willow's was over and done with very quickly. She has a much sleeker coat so hopefully she will always be easy. |

| Ha, Kody just started his first actual blow! Oh geez, I thought Mya was bad! Nope, Kody is definitely worse! Maybe because it's his actual first blow? I spent 20min brushing him earlier and it was like never ending and so soft! |

| I think Koda's first blow was actually way more mild than his blows after Melissa. Koda just got over his blow in June, but no clue if it'll happen sooner due to the change in climate.. obviously it'll be colder than he's even experienced in AZ! As for Rogue praying no blowing of the coat til after we move again, lol. |

| I'm so use to the heavy shedding that a blow is just a minor nuisance. |

| Wait, what? It ends?! Did my sibe not get that memo? Coat blows for my sibe last a full 8 weeks at a time, if Appa's anything like my sibe he's just getting warmed up. _________________ ~~Val~~

| You know, I always thought Dakota only blows his coat once a year and did not understand what you guys were talking about twice a year...welll I figured it out. His coat blows so long that they just run into together and I count it as one! Willow has not started her second blow yet but I am hopefull that it will be quick and easy like the spring blow. |

| Day 2 of brushing Kody! Wow, his under coat is so thin and soft. It's 95 degrees in Miami today so just brushing him outside for 10min has made sweat like I ran 4miles! Sweat and husky hair = me almost looking like a husky because of how much hair was stuck on me..LOL!!! |

| Phew! Glad you posted this, Riley. I thought I was going insane with all the hair Frosti was producing. Since the Chillster already did his spring shed, we thought we'd adopted the special constant shedding model of husky! Chili's silkier, longer hair is easier to furminate out, and the hydrosurge self wash was a big help too! Frosti's super fluffy, extremely thick hair is like an explosion of hair in our house! After you posted this, and I was able to pull out "wool" from her thigh area last night - I realized she's blowing her coat! We cringe when she "shakes" in the house, because her fur projective vomits hair out 3 feet in all directions! This proves Chili is a fake husky, and she's breaking us in as REAL husky owners... Pics from Chili's final brushing session at the end of his last blow (15 min worth of hair - what didn't fly away). Chili says "I shed, what of it?" After brushing Frosti last weekend for a few minutes. Our yard is covered in white fluffy hair. We need Teradactyls to start building nests to make use of it all... I looked like that last night after deciding to wear a black top and skirt to an outdoor movie festival while cuddling Frosti in my lap. A lady asked my husband if they shed much, and he pointed at my outfit. She looked like this : |

| I hate shedding. Hate, hate, hate it. This was in March I think, and on a windy day.. there was about 7 other balls on the other side of the swing and then a ton embedded in the grass and floating in the pool..sure the neighbors got some too. |

| That picture of Chili's ball of fur is what we get out of Appa in less than a minute. I think he's a little on the "wooly" side of coat length so it's really intense around our house...
We also cringe when he shakes, the hair showers and big tufts of hair that fly out from him are almost comical. ... and we brush him 2 times a day right now. |
