| Okay, so I was hoping Demon would learn it's okay to pee places other than our backyard, but it hasn't happened. We've taken them almost everywhere we go since we got them. I don't think he's EVER gone while on the leash. He waits until we're home then makes a beeline for the backyard. The expression on his face is almost comical! It wouldn't be an issue but for the roadtrip we're taking this upcoming week. If he's desperate enough, will he finally go or will he hold it indefinitely?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

| My Bella is like this too. I was sorry to see that no one had posted any ideas! I was hoping that someone would have suggestions. Have you figured out anything with Demon yet? |

| Biko, will with hold taking a poo while on a walk until we get home. In the 15 + months we've had him he has done so many 3-5 times. Then like Demon head for the back door soon as we arrive. |

| I'm not sure about the reluctance to pee/poo on a leash or in a certain area, but I know about them getting too side tracked to do their business. Some times Indy will get funny about it and not want to go so I just use the commands "go pee-pee" "go poop" and he almost always listens! Try that for when he doesn't seem like he wants to use the bathroom when out or in a specific area. |

| mine won't either she still holds the leash in her mouth the entire time she is on it, no matter how far the walk.... even though she is usually beside or behind me, I guess she wants to think she is the one walking me! I even got a 6' leash instead of the 4' one so that she would feel more "free" but.... nothing yet. |

| While we were on our trip, Demon finally realized that if he was going to go, he'd have to do it while he was on leash. Our drive east was 3 days. He only went poop during that time. When we reached my parents' house, he would find a corner of the house and go poop (and pee at times) there. It took a couple more times walking him around outside saying "go potty" multiple times before he finally went. He got lots of praise when he did. They're spoiled here at home because of our fenced in backyard, so hopefully he'll remember for the next time... |
