| So, a few days ago i started to try out Wellness Core (Ocean) with Kody. I started incorporating less than 1/4 cup with his breakfast/dinner and so far so good. The first day or 2 I also gave him a tablespoon of pumpkin just to help him along. Yesterday on his 2nd poop of the evening the last bit that came out was soft, but not liquidy at all. This morning his poop was perfect so I gave him 1/4 cup with his breakfast. Let's see how that goes. Fingers crossed!!! |

| Good luck with it! I used to feed Wellness Core (original Chicken/turkey formula). My dogs did great on it until they switched manufacturers and when the new batches came out the kibble looked and felt different and my dogs started getting diarrhea. Couple the bad reaction to the new batches coming from their new less than desirable manufacturers I switched my dogs off of Wellness and have never looked back.
Hoping your dogs do well on it, Melissa. Keep us updated. _________________ ~~Val~~

| Thanks Val...I'm keeping all of my fingers crossed over here!!! Between the Orijen, THK, and raw I'm going to be living off of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches |

| I might actually be able to skip out on the ramen noodles I upped his portion to almost 1/2 cup and still good. I might be getting excited, but don't want to jinx it..LOL! |

| Melissa, If the prices in the NK9S store is the same online, the price difference between Wellness Core Ocean and Orijen 6-Fish is only .15/lb....only 15 cents more per pound for Orijen....

| I'm comparing Blue Buffalo Wilderness Grain Free Salmon vs. Orijen 6-Fish...and it's about .45/lb difference. So I think I'm about mixing in some of BB in with their kibble to stretch it out a little.

| Blue Wilderness' salmon formula gave Koda the worst diarrhea of his life next to Taste of the Wild. |

I just tried a little bit for Storm in his dinner...so we'll see how it goes.
TOTW did not work for Ginger. I only gave 5 piece of BB to Ginger so I won't be able to tell.
Since Storm is so close to his goal weight, I want to start giving him more protein, and slowly start phasing out his reduced fat kibble to regular kibble so I'll know how much to feed him once he gets to his goal.

| I tried BB Wilderness (Salmon) a few months back and it was a total no go for Kody! TOTW was a no go as well =(
The small bag of CORE is $12.99 at the Pet Supermarket by my house, but it goes on sale for $9.99 often. I got lucky and it was $9.99 when I bought it last week. Woohoo!!! The Orijen is about $19-$20. |

Oh, and this is what I'm trying to do with Mya as well. She's doing good on the CORE Ocean formula also so hopefully I can get them both on the same kibble. Mya's down to 57lbs so I don't think she needs the reduced calorie formula anymore. |

| Two weeks later and Kody is officially off of Orijen and Mya is off of the Wellness Core Reduced Fat kibble. I got them the 15lb bag today and it was $35...that should last about 2 months since I alternate between THK/Kibble and THK/Raw. Hoping that Mya doesn't gain any weight since I took her off of the reduced fat formula She's FINALLY at 55lbs! A year ago she was at 72lbs! |
