| Just curious as to what everybody does for a living? This might be considered a personal question so my bad if you think it might be inappropriate.
I'll start...I'm an Executive Assistant to the SVP of Cyber Security at the company I work for. They own several data centers within the US, Brazil, Turkey, and now Amsterdam!
Hubby is the office manager at a process serving company. |

Hubby is in engineering in the aerospace field, specializing in electrical engineering and engineering management but he also dabbles in manufacturing engineering as well as systems engineering. He also wants to get another masters in computer science at some point. _________________ ~~Val~~

| I haven't worked since we moved to CO but hope to get a job in the next few weeks. I have my bachelors in agribusiness(was going to be a vet) but all the jobs you can do with that don't interest me.. going to go back to school and do criminal justice online and vet tech night school |

| I'm a Navy Pilot stationed at Naval Air Station Whiting Field in FL, teaching newly commissioned officers how to fly airplanes. I consider this far more dangerous than the combat flying I did in Iraq a couple years ago I'm actually looking at hanging up my wings after this tour in a couple years and becoming an ER doctor. Aaron is a meteorologist working for Weather Decision Technologies out of Norman, Oklahoma. He is a meteorologist by education, but spends most of his time programming. He works on developing interactive radar maps to sell to TV stations, and if you watch your local news and see the iMap logo on their weather radar, that's his product. _________________ |

| Well I am still in college working towards a history manager, but I work part time at a dog kennel that does daycare, boarding, and grooming. I typically just keep the kennels clean and take dogs outside to play and sometimes help with bathing dogs. I have no idea what I want to do when I graduate because I rather dislike working in general unless I could be my own boss. I think it would be fun to own my own pet store.
My fiance is a pet care specialist (basically the store associate who works in the fish/reptile/bird/small animal departments) at Petsmart and is likely becoming pet care manager within the next couple of months. He loves working there so I am thinking he may stay there for many years yet but he wants to get his masters in herpetology or something similar (he currently has a BS in Zoology and a minor in Entomology) so he may move on at some point.

| Val, your hubby is smarty pants, huh? That's awesome! Jenn, you design jewelry....that's pretty neat! Why didn't I know ya before I got married My dad actually worked in the Jewelry business for all of his life until recently. He used to work at a place that sold the actual jewels to Jewelry stores. He got laid off after almost 20 years of working there (sad...I know). Then he started working at an engagement ring place and he loved it, but once again got laid off just after 2 years. Things are bad! Now he's a security guard at The University of Miami. All he does is check people in pretty much. My mom works at UM also (has been there for 30yrs!). He didn't like it at first, but now he does. Meredith, being a pilot is so freaking cool!!! You got balls girl...I would be such a chicken to fly anything! I was freaking out to drive a bigger car and won't ecen get on the smallest roller coasters..lmao! Heather, from what I know about your personality you definitely have it in you to go into Criminal Justice! =) I want to go back to school also...for business...now the thing is what area to concentrate on...hmmmm.... |

| I'm a Commercial Assistant for 3 commercial loan officers at a long standing Bank. I just started this job 5 months ago and I'm loving it so far. It's interesting learning the commercial side of banking. Before that, I was a Loan Closer in Consumer Real Estate for 10 years at a local community bank. I also underwrote an proccessed when I was needed.
Edited to add that I now assist for both Commercial and now the Ag Department.

| Melissa, Thanks for starting this thread! It's really neat to see what everyone does, and there is such a variety in jobs. For the record, I've had the sh*t scared out of me more times than I care to admit in various airplanes Jenn, I took a gander at your website, and your jewelry is gorgeous! I will keep that in mind for future reference Len, how's the gigolo trade treating you these days? _________________ |
