I saw a freaking ginormous wolf on someone's lawn...I don't know, I wouldn't hunt them given opportunity, and don't think they should be hunted unless they're overpopulating..

WTF if that isn't over populating, or would you prefer to find your Husky's carcass half eaten in the front yard before realizing that you maybe have a over population problem.

Sign it or don't? Lame reasoning or do you assume there shouldn't be debating if you agree and I don't, be it about wolves or eating pizza hot or cold?

Funny thing is we don't even have a wolf problem. We're all aware that they're near town, it's freaking Wisconsin, they're are bears everywhere too! Are you suggesting we should go out and start shooting them too?!

The main problem this petition is trying to address is that the ruling was just an added rider and scientific data was just thrown out the door, cause they were more concerned about passing the budget changes and didn't care that the wolf issue was tacked on. It is the only time a species has lost their federal protection without scientific consideration, I believe. So if pro-wolf hunting advocates can prove that wolves are overpopulated in those areas and get a ruling passed that way with scientific data, then wolf advocates can't really do much about it. This petition was made because the wolves lost their federal protection unfairly.

Here's what the petition reads:
"Due to a 2011 budget rider (Sec. 1713), gray wolves lost federal protection under the ESA. It orders the Interior Secretary to reissue the final delisting rule published in 2009. Articles written by scientists in independent peer-reviewed journals criticized the 2009 rule for complying more with political expediency instead of best available science. This is regarded as a particularly egregious affront to the voice of the majority and to fair representation in our country. The rider circumvents the District Court’s ruling in Defenders of Wildlife, 729 F.Supp.2d 1207, and was designed to direct the outcome of a pending case without amending the underlying statute involved. We join the Union of Concerned Scientists in denouncing this action."
