| Since the horrible hiking experience with Neo at LBL, I have worked very hard on leash training and commands. It has been a rough journey for both of us, but he is improving. Slowly but surely. I decided to take another go at it, and the training paid off. While it wasnt erfect by no means, it was enjoyable for both of us. Sunday I took him to a trail close to home, as I am a little worried about making another long drive untill i feel comfortable he can behave. I only got a few pics because I was by myself, but it was fun!

| Glad the 2nd time was better, I have been thinking a fall hike but not sure if I have time. I see you took his pack off, it does help to have weight in the pack to give them that "working" feel and to tucker them out faster if ur doing short hikes. Good luck on try #3 and love the old barn, I love old building in the middle of nowhere _________________ |

| Glad this hiking trip went better than the first. Looks like a great time! _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | I actually had the pack in the car, but there were squirrel everywhere, and I was having trouble putting it on bymyself. Next time hopefully I can drag brad along, or put it on before he gets out of the car! |

| No horses this time? It should only get better each time out. I totally get the pack thing with distractions at the trailhead. It just takes some time, dexterity and sometimes another lead to get used to putting it on. You should see the chaos around my van sometimes. But with the van, I have the option of just jumping in back and gearing them up before getting out. Usually at the crowded trails or if there's some animal nearby. |

| that is one thing i LOVE about the palisade ruff wear pack is that i can put the harness on before we leave the house so at the trail head all i have to do is put the pack on and in 4 snaps im done. no straps and wrestling with the dog to get under the belly and snap the thing together. Sierra is a brat when it comes to her pack and if i had the extra cash i would get her a RW pack to for the ease, Eddy does have his hands full at the TH!!! _________________ |
