| Hey all Now that we're back and back to normal (well almost), I thought I would share some of our adventures from our trip east for our wedding and the trip back home to CO. We left CO on September 14th and arrived in CT on the 16th...a lot of driving. The drive was uneventful, although it was riddled with construction and even a couple of detours that took us well out of our way. The only annoying part of the trip was on the drive east in PA. We got pulled over shortly after entering the state (NOT speeding, mind you) because the truck's windows are tinted (legal here in CO, not in PA). Then the trooper who pulled us over decided that since we were from CO, we must be trafficking pot and proceeded to search the truck! At least they didn't unload the truck... We finally arrived Friday evening in the midst of rush hour thanks to the delay in PA. We allowed the furbabies to acquaint themselves with their new environment for a while as we caught up with my folks. The wedding went really well...except for the humidity, but we were expecting that. The rain held off nicely so it was overcast, buggy and humid for the outside receiving line and a few of the pictures. We had a good turnout...about 70 people total and the reception was a blast. Everyone looked amazing, wedding party and guests alike. Our special limo On our drive home, we went up to Niagara Falls (Canadian side), drove a bit through Canada, came down in Michigan and made our way to the Detroit area. We went to the Henry Ford Museum, where since it was overcast and very cool, we left the pups in the truck with water...came back out to find our birth certificates destroyed One of those pups had to either become double jointed or really lucky to find those. Niagara Falls Detroit Area (all for Hubby) From there we went to the U.P. and then down through WI and MN towards South Dakota where we made our way to the Badlands, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse....then we headed home. Overall great trip. Upper Peninsula Badlands Mount Rushmore & Crazy Horse The kids... |

| Isn't Crazy Horse amazing? Did you go to Bear Country USA? I went twice since the first day it was so hot and none of the animals were really active. The next day they let me in for free and I had the pups. Shania wanted to play with the wolves. So much fun. Looks like you had a wonderful time. |

| Heather, we didn't have the time to do Bear Country USA this time around. I was there 10 years ago and we had a bear just sitting in the middle of the road, refusing to move along. lol The pups probably would've wanted to play with the wolves and bears and mountain lions... Jennifer, I think it was a combination...being in the car zones them out to begin with...tack on new hotel rooms each night, excitement of the week in CT and you have wiped out pups. Hubby is very car oriented and the classic rolls was my gift to him. |

| Congratulations!!
We've been thinking about traveling with G&S outside Colorado, but wasn't sure how they would do on a car trip longer than a couple of hours. I know we'd have to stop every so ofter, let them out, walk around, etc. and they are good in the car. Just seems like a big ordeal...maybe I'm making it out to be bigger than it really is....

I found the easiest way to handle it was to put them in their harness then when you stop just clip the leash and your good to go. Plus its a great idea/excuse to stop and limber up the legs every 2-3 hours to prevent blood clotting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_vein_thrombosis |

| We pretty much used their movements as a measure. If they were restless, we looked for a place to stop. They're also pretty good about waiting when we open the car doors (unless there's another dog nearby), so we can get their leashes on them pretty quickly. |
