| Hi all,
I'm from Canada. I am the proud mom of two dogs, a bird, a rabbit and two Kinkajous [members of the procyonidae family]. All of my "children" were adopted; which brings me to my latest addition, a gorgeous 1 year old female Siberian. She will be my first husky, but definitely not my last. I have been warned multiple times, "huskies are like potato chips, you cannot just have one".
I am an agility-addict and have also recently began skijoring. As you can imagine, I'm extremely looking forward getting started with my new girl.
When I'm not caring for my own animals, I'm caring for others. I run a dog boarding facility and a private, not-for-profit animal rescue abroad. Due to space limitations, we usually only have about 10 dogs and 10 other small critters at the rescue. But even so, we continue to feed 100+ strays everyday.
I tend to ramble a lot... If you haven't already noticed.
Anyways, I have lots of questions and cannot wait to ask the experts (YOU).
Until the next boring topic I post, take care! |

| Thank you all.
I will take and upload some pictures once she gets a good scrubbing. The silly little girl slipped into massive mud-puddle when doing a zoomy, at the park. |

South-western, not too far from Toronto. |

| Welcome and you need to get that girl named. If I have the extra land I would be rescueing as well. I hate to hear that the shelters around here are at or almost at copassidy, which usually means putting animals to sleep, So sad. You are wonderful for what you do!!! |

I know, I know, I know. It takes me several weeks to figure out the perfect name for my animals. And in the end I always end up getting asked "... and what made you name him/her that?". My current five are all named after exotic fruits and spices. I was thinking of Binti: "Young Lady" in Swahili or Aviva: "Spring/Spring Time" in Hebrew, I think?
Yes, it is very sad. But what I find most disturbing is the gas chamber method that many shelters, pounds, animal control facilities, etc. use to "put the animals to sleep".
