My aunt gave me her old food dehydrator this weekend! I've only used one once to make beef jerky. We don't buy a whole lot of beef, so I'm trying to come up with other uses for it. Has anyone used one to make treats or food for their dogs?

I bet you could do dried yams, our dogs love the Canyon Creek Ranch yams. We actually registered for a dehydrator for our wedding so we can do things like jerky and yam treats for the dogs.

I know a lot of people who use a dehydrator to make their own dog treats. I looked into buying one a couple years ago but decided it'd just be cheaper for me to buy dehydrated treats. That's cool that you got one for free though!

Forgot to add that most people I know who use one to make their own treats mainly do strips of various different meats. Sweet potato is a good one too.
