No- I think he's a husky!
What I've always done is call their new name and shove a cookie in their mouth. It doesn't take long for them to understand that there are good things paired with that name and things will progress from there. While you're not really supposed to ever use your dogs name when you're scolding them, I make a huge effort to never yell or use their name in a harsh tone when their still learning their name. If I'm pissed off I'll just usually say "Bad Husky!"_________________ Cheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! Join our facebook meetup group! | I love the name but I just realized why Willow and Piper sounded so familiar together..... Sarah Palin's heard of kids are Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper, and Trig. I'm guilty of enjoying watching her show. I think Piper totally suits her though ! |

| To get Appa used to his new name we just used it as though it was already his name and when he paid attention to us, we praised him. Sometimes with treats, usually with attention. It was really painless and rather seamless.
And a blowing leaf making your dog deaf is rather normal ... we're working on that still. |

I'm fairly convinced blowing leaves is the only game Aevyn will hunt. >_>;; Squirrels he's terrified of, Raccoons he ignores, and Deer he stares at like its about to kill him.
A leaf, however, is dangerous. And must be snapped, barked, and jumped on until beaten into submission and no longer able to blow in the wind as freely as it once did.
Watch out Leaf, Aevyn's out there.
And at this rate, Piper is too~! Great name, very cute, and it fits her. |
