PostSubject: Puppy Feeding   Mon Dec 26, 2011 9:23 pm

Hey everyone!
So, I worried my puppy isn't eating enough. Our breeder said to feed him 3/4 cup of dry kibble (royal canin medium breed puppy) 3 times a day. For the first few day's we tried that and he was wasting the majority of it (the 2nd feeding, which was around 1pm he didn't even touch). I started only feeding him twice a day now, but I'm concerned he may not be getting enough food. We took him to the vet a couple day's ago for a check up and she said he was perfectly healthy, so I'm not sure if it's just me being a worry-wort or if this is ok.

Yep your a worry wart just like we all were at one point or another.

3/4 cup 3 times a day is a lot of food even for a young pup. Trust your pup and vet if he hungry he'll eat. My two are fed 2 cups a day total over 3 feedings, and most days Adobo is lucky if she eats twice. Biko well he's a chow hound and would pig out if I let him.
