Couldn't get out of it, huh Mindy?

Happy New Years!!! We're going to drink enough to piss my mom off and then play Apples to Apples. That game never gets old...

Sounds like every one is having a great time so far!!

I'm sorry to hear your sister is sick Mindy! I hope she feels better! I also hope you don't get it! Strep is no fun!

I'm laid out with an upper respiratory infection, sore throat and a sinus infection Sad I feel your sisters pain, but ick, strep! Tell her to get better soon!

Meredith - what's apples to apples? I've never heard of it- then again I'm not a big drinker! Lol but I've never heard my friends talk about it.

I'm so jealous you got olive garden Jennet! Though you can keep your big bang theory marathon!

Oh, I might have a new years surprise to show you all after next week :o kind of a late Christmas present if everything goes well!

You don't have to drink to enjoy Apples to Apples. It's actually a family card game, where the premise is matching cards in your hand to a topic card that is drawn by a player. You're *supposed* to find the best match, but when you're in a group of smart ass adults the best match isn't always the most literal one. One of my personal favorites for the match cards is "The Chernobyl Accident". If I land that card, I try to play it off of topic cards such as "Brilliant" or "Shiny". Stuff like that. I was playing with neighbors back in Oklahoma, the topic card was "Death" and my neighbor played "Anne Frank". Yes, it was kind of wrong, but amazingly funny. It's a great party game, and you can find it at any store like Wal Mart or Target.

2 hours to go for us on the east coast! I'm on vacation in the mountains in NC with hubby and the furkids. I'm wiped out though, will probably be ringing in the new year with some much needed zzzzz's. Good night and Happy New Year to everyone!

We never play the best match way either! The game has two versions, one is the original and the other is the junior version. When you combine the two versions together its priceless fun!

I did it the easy way went to bed at 10:15 and had Beth wake me 2 hours later, then back to sleep. I'm a early bird and can't do that night owl stuff. Been off work since the 22nd of Dec. and the latest I got out of bed has been 5:50AM.

BIG ALERT for those hung over there is suppose to be a House marathon on the Oxygen channel today. Lie on the sofa and let Dr. House cure you of some strange and exotic disease when all you thought you had was a hang over.

Happy New Year everyone!

Yesterday, we hiked up to the top of the ridgeline with the furbabies with friends that we're visiting in Aspen, then went to see 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo', then had more friends from Aspen over for dinner....and went to bed at around 10pm!

Made it till midnight then stayed up to watch another episode of monk, we got season 4 for xmas and are almost done it. Then its on to seasons of boans. With no cable we tend to watch dvds in bed before bed. Still woke up at 7:40 but forced my eyes closed till 8:30. Got up made sunnyside up eggs and a cooked pear. Was yummy. Doing my cardio now so I'm ready for the feast later today.
I have high hopes for 2012 and I hope it goes well, I realy have no idea where 2011 went...
Back to work tomorrow for inventory, hope all my pre counts save us time and I'm not there to late.

Len, we have every season of house and I have to say the seasons have gotten worse, realy liked the early stuff, I think we still hav to wait a week for all the new shows to start Sad

Hope everyone got home safe and have a great day today!

Happy New Years!!

2011 had a lot of changes for me, and 2012 begins yet another new chapter for me. I'm excited for what's to come.

I will never play Apples to Apples with my mother again. Of all the people with dirty minds, hers proved to be the worst. I think I'm scarred...

One reason I haven't watch it the last 2 seasons. The coolness of his smart-ass-ness kind of got old and moronic.

I hope that everybody's having a great New Years Day! I made yummy french toast for breakfast, then we took the doggys on a quick bike ride since it's almost 80 degrees, and then I went for a run. I was dying! I felt so blah and heavy today for some reason. Must be all of the fattening food and beer that I've had! Speaking of beer, popping one open as we speak!

Getting ready to head to my best friends for a BBQ. I want to take the Xbox/Kinect to play Dance Central, but hubby says it's too much of a hassle to disconnect it. C'mon, it's not that hard! He won't let me do it. Says I'm going to break it. Geez, gimme some credit here!!! Razz

Ouch. I knew this was coming when mother poured an entire bottle of Maker's Mark in a bowl. Talk about a partAY! We had vomit, stumbling, wall bracing, sandwiches dipped in cheese, sunrise and all kinds of shenanigans. But that was then.

Is it 2013 yet? This f*cking year is starting off peachy. Nothing like some level 8 stress that's going to last weeks to get you in a good mood. If I can keep from breaking something or punching a hole in a wall I'll consider that a win. Dammit.
