She's beautiful! How strict is their adoption policy? I have heard other members talk about how difficult it can be to get approved to adopt from a husy rescue. I am hoping to get another husky in the next few months and am at a toss up between adopting or purchasing a pup.

What are some other Husky rescues that may be closer that are not incredibly difficult to be approved? Anyone know of any?

Congrats on the dog and koodos for going with a Rescue, there are so many out there that need a good place to live. i hope to find a great home for Cali here sometime, until then she is enjoying her life here at my place.

Yeah I am fostering but if I don't find her a home by end of the month I think I will get too attached with her. The only thing I have holding my from keeping her is my landlord not allowing me to keep her in the house, She stays inside since I know he is out on vacation and won't be back till feb. When he gets home and I still have, I plan on talking to him in person on things I can do to please him to allow me to keep her. I fostered a German shepherd b4 and she was okay staying inside so I am sure I can do it again. Cali has become a well mannered dog and I don't mind keeping her but If I can find her a great home then I will try that avenue.

I think they really just want the dog to have a good home with a fenced in yard, and a family that is willing to adjust to the needs of the dog... plus some part of the family that will be there for the dog a good part of the day... Just the willingness to treat the dog great is what I think they look for..
