| Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. My name is Brian, and I'm the proud owner of an 8 week old Husky named Victoria. She's a new addition to my pack: a Rottie/Akita/Chow mix named Kaya (14 yrs. old in March) and a Shih Tzu named Sonny (7). Victoria came home on 12.30, and it's "so far, so good". She's taken to her sleeping crate in my bedroom fairly well, though we're still getting adjusted to the "daytime" crate in the dining room (a more communal area of my house where the other two frequent). For being young, and her first days apart from the litter, I'm pretty pleased with her progress. We'll be joining a puppy pre-school class at PetSmart in two weeks to further her socialization. I'm looking forward to reading more about everyone's experiences with their dogs, reading and learning as much as I can. Happy New Year to all the furkids and their parents!  |

| Thanks for the welcomes! @arooroomom: I'm in the Tampa Bay area (Largo to be exact). My vet gave me a flyer for a sled dog group in the area, so I'll definitely be teaming up with the other SH owners around here. As for pics, I'll start a thread in the Scrapbook section, but just as a teaser...  ...here's Victoria:  |

| Thanks again to all for the warm welcome. It's really nice to find such a welcoming forum and group of enthusiasts. I can tell I've come to the right place for all things Husky.
