| I just copied this from the hijack, So I was leaving the house to go to the gym at 8:15am, turned out of my street to the main neighbordhood street and the sun was right there in my eyes, so I moved over to the right side instead of the middle of the road incase anyone was coming my way and went to pull down my visor when I hit the back end of a simi truck trailer! Were talking I drove 2 houses and hit it, not much time at all from turning the corner and the accident. Our HOA does not permit 18wheelers to park any where in the area but with no signs posted they still do it. That damn truck was not there last night. I got lucky and only clipped the back bar behind the tire on the trailer but it popped my tire and wrecked my passenger wheel well. Hood ok door ok, no airbag but my car spin 360 from impact and everything got tossed around, it happened so fast. The cop was nice and gave me the lowest ticket he could, driving to fast in bad road conditions $100 ticket and 1 point if I mail it in, it could have been reckless driving with a court date. No idea who owns the truck but HOA is getting a call tomorrow. I have not had a ticket in 5+ yrs and have not hit anything in 10+yrs. This is messing with my head. Ins is going to be $500 to fix.... ken is still not working. Oh I'm in a funk but it could have been worse, I could have hit it head on well here are more pictures of my poor E, the adjuster should be out today and i hope it is on its way to the shop today as well. i might ask for a quote on my door lock as well, hell im already in the hole whats a few more $$$. here is the truck i hit, like how the back end is sticking out even farther into the street..... you can see my spin out tracks right near the manhole. and the bent metal thing behind his back driver tire is what i hit. _________________ |

| Door is fine thank god as its the only way into my car if its locked! i had two voice mails on my phone this morning, both were from the driver of the truck, they were from yesterday, wonder why i never heard my phone, had no missed calls and just now got the messages... well i called him and he was nice, wanted to see that i was ok, guess the cop left my info on the truck. he called my ins. already and he is taking the trailer to the shop today, he thinks it a simple weld to replace the steel bar. he had to pry it off his tire to drive it. i sent him pictures of my car and he will wait to see if his boss needs more. _________________ |

| oh the HOA got a lengthy email with the same pictures. i asked for signs to be posted stating the no semi parking on that road. no one seems to regard the HOA laws and i have no problem pointing them out to the HOA (repeat offenders). i wish they would issue warnings or fines, they might and the homeowners don't care. the problem is i have no idea where this guy lives, i told the HOA i have his name and # and gave them a pic of the truck door with all the info on the company.
when we moved in we had a visit and a letter sent to us about fixing the top of our garage door cause it was bent, we fixed it, the neighbor next to us has had a banged up garage door for 3+yrs now and has not fixed it, not sure if the HOA is on them or not. i just don't know how the system works and where my $420 a year goes!!!! _________________ |

| I got an email back from the HOA today.
Jennifer- thank you for your email and I am sorry to hear about your accident. I am really surprised that the police officer cited you because lack of signs. The City and County of Denver regulate the streets which are considered public. Did the police officer happen to tell you what the signs have to stay in order for them to enforce their own codes?
Can you give me the police officers name as I would like to talk to him as if ordering signs is all that has been done for the police to remove this vehicle and prohibit the parking, the Association would be happy to order the signs. We have been fighting this semi and other semis all summer and cannot find the owner.
Thank you for your help!
i hope the info i give them helps in their fight.... guess i will know if they email be back or one day signs show up!

| all better they even waxed the car! and put something on the plastic to make it look new again, and when you look at it head on you can see how bad my driver light is fogged up compared to the new one they had to put in, wish they would have replaced both so its not uneven looking and the new key/lock is working great, only down fall is the key only goes in one direction and i keep trying to put it in upside down, i need to mark the top. _________________ |

| Yay! You could always order a new drivers side headlight and replace it yourself to make them look the same again. Hubby and I replaced the entire headlamps on my Camry a number of years ago because they had that clouded/foggy look from age. I think it was around $80 or so per headlamp and hubby installed them himself, looked awesome. I think I even have pics buried somewhere from when we did it. _________________ ~~Val~~
