Hello All,

My name is Cheryl I am in the St Petesburg Tampa Bay area in Florida. I have 2 rescued Sibes Max I adopted at 1 1/2 years old and Enkei at 8 months old they are now 5 yrs old and 2 yrs old. Both are black and white. My first husky was a red and white male, unfortunately he passed away which was very unexpected. I volunteer with the Siberian Husky Rescue of Fl Inc and of course is where I got my rescues. My girl Enkei is an obedience girl. I go to obedience trials with her. Max is certified to go to nursing homes and hospitals. Enkei is also my trick gril.

I look forward to chatting up on the forums.

Thanks

Cheryl

Obedience husky?! What's wrong with you! lol! I've been working on doing agility with my two and conformation for my show girl.

Welcome! I'm over in central FL. I'm sure you know of Sandy Paws Sleddogs over in your area? They're on meet up and on FB. And if you like camping, the central fl and south fl snowdog groups are going to be having a husky camp next month in Ocala! https://www.facebook.com/events/285211964846875/

Lol Sara yup you heard right an obedience husky. She has a trail next month. I love it just cause I'm usually the only husky. I have been working on Utility with her as well. Agility will be next with her.

Yup I'm a member of Sandy Paws have been since they first started the group Very Happy I saw the camping event on the rescues facebook page. I don't have any camping equipment so not sure on that one.

I have an extra tent!

Oh I know finding a husky in obedience is rare. I'm in love with a husky named Zini. He has his conformation grand championship, his MXF & MACH in agility, and a CD in obedience!

Welcome Cheryl! Your Sibes are absolutely gorgeous! And that's awesome that you do Obedience Trials! I wish mine could do that!

When we camp I kenneled them in the tent, and put locks on it for safe measures..

Some people plan on tying the leash to their arm while they sleep. I'm going to keep my two in crates in the tent. The new tent we got is HUGE! So we can probably fit one or two other people plus dogs.

You have gorgeous huskies and welcome to the forums. I am also in FL but on the east coast. I do go to Tampa once every couple months to my SIL's house. She lives in Riverview.

Hi, welcome! Both of your babies are beautiful! Very Happy

We're going to the camping trip also and have NEVER been camping period. We didn't have any equipment either, but really it 's not too much that you need. If Sara has the tent then the only other major thing that you'll need is the sleeping bags. We're going to wrap their leashes around our wrist. I wake up easily so if they move I'll feel it. They don't sleep in their crates now so I'm sure they won't be too thrilled to be crated in a tent Razz

Hope that you can make it!
